Inspiring Interiors: Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona

Spain is one of those places where luxury doesn’t necessarily come at a cost. Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona is the perfect example, with its stylish decor and inexpensive rates: as low as $141/ night (that would be an average rate of a Holiday Inn in the US).

Located in the heart of Barcelona, near Plaza Cataluña, the Pulitzer Hotel marries traditional with cutting edge design. The historic building was remodeled in 2004 in a style that was to give the hotel a welcoming, lived in feel. The first photo is testament how designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan introduced sophisticated yet eclectic touches: he repainted chinoiserie cupboards and turned it into the bar display. Rosa-Violan has designed many hotels, including the Hotel Pultizer Roma.

Enjoy the following photos! I am a believer in black and white, with earthy mid-tones and textures.
